Precision Laser Additive Remanufacturing Master Agreement

Contractor shall apply high-power fiber laser cladding (Stellite 6, Inconel 625, Colmonoy, or Tungsten Carbide metal matrix composites) to Customer’s substrate components. Contractor guarantees true 100% metallurgical fusion bonding across the interface with substrate dilution controlled between 3.0% and 8.0%, ensuring zero spalling or delamination under extreme mechanical shear.

Deposited cladding layers shall meet agreed microhardness specifications (e.g., 40–45 HRC for Stellite 6, 60–65 HRC for Tungsten Carbide MMC) tested per ASTM E384. Induction pre-heating and controlled interpass temperatures are strictly maintained to eliminate martensitic micro-cracking and excessive residual stresses.

100% of clad surfaces undergo post-deposition Fluorescent Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT per ASTM E1417) and Ultrasonic Examination (UT per ASTM A388) administered by certified ASNT Level II inspectors to verify zero linear indications, sub-surface lack of fusion, or gas porosity.

Unless designated as as-clad hardfacing, remanufactured journals, seal areas, and wear rings are CNC finish-ground or precision turned to Customer’s OEM engineering drawings within ±0.0005″ runout and Ra ≤ 16 μin surface finish.

Work is billed at the agreed commercial beam-on hourly rate plus actual superalloy powder consumption (weight basis) and metallurgical laboratory certification fees. Contractor maintains $5,000,000 Completed Operations and Manufacturer’s E&O insurance. Terms are Net 30 days upon delivery with Certified Material Test Reports (CMTR).
